Booking Terms and Conditions
Thank you for choosing to book with The Priory and we look forward to welcoming you.
When you make a booking at The Priory you are entering into a formal agreement with us and are accepting our terms and conditions. Please ensure that you read the following thoroughly.
Should it be necessary we reserve the right to change your room to one of the same standard with out prior notice.
We reserve the right to refuse a booking.
Please note that all rooms are allocated on a ‘first come first served basis’ and are subject to availability. Whilst we endeavour to meet all of your requirements, sometimes circumstances beyond our control mean those requirements cannot be met.
We do not accept single night bookings for Saturday nights. Cancellation of a 1 night on a Friday night will deem both nights to be cancelled.
We do accept party booking but only by direct bookings and special terms and conditions will apply. Failure to comply will deem the whole booking as cancelled. Please ask for details
To confirm your booking we require full details of a credit/debit card which will be held on our PCI compliant system. No reservation will be made or guaranteed without.
Check-in and check-out
You can check-in from 2pm on the date of arrival. It may be possible to check-in earlier, but only by prior arrangement. The bar is open from 10am for drinks if you wish to wait.
If you wish to check-in any later than 9.30pm, you should give us at least 24 hrs notice.
You must check-out before 10.30am on the date of departure.
Rates Codes and Payment Terms
The rate for each room is as agreed at the time of booking and charges are per room. Please check and make sure you are booked on a suitable tariff for yourself
Rack/Standard Prices (RR) prices includes a breakfast, unless otherwise stated. You may cancel this booking with up 48 hours of the date of arrival charges with no cancellation fees
Advanced Rack Rate Prices. (ARR) Advance Purchase Discount on the rack rate payment is taken immediately and is non-refundable and nontransferable to other dates. The price also includes breakfast. Please consider travel insurance with this tariff should you wish to cancel
Room Only (RO) this is the same cancellation terms as the Rack/Standard prices rate but does NOT include breakfast . The price excludes breakfast and is an extra £9.00 per person breakfast must be booked in advance
Advanced Room Only (ARO) – Advance Purchase Discount on the rack rate payment is taken immediately and is non-refundable and not ransferable. This is a ROOM ONLY PRICE. Breakfast is NOT INCLUDED The price excludes breakfast and is an extra £9.00 per person breakfast must be booked in advance. Please consider travel insurance with this tariff should you wish to cancel
The Priory advertises with other organisations, online booking engines and publications. We are not liable for any inaccurate information provided by third parties, including information regarding their prices. Their offers do not run in conjunction with our offers. It is alwys best to confirm your details at the time of making your reservation
We accept all major credit cards except AMEX
We do not accept cheques.
Please note that at peak booking times there will be no discounted rates
Advertised special offers are subject to availability. Special offers are not available at peak times.

Once you have booked your stay, our agreement is a legal contract and any deposit you may have paid is non-refundable.
Cancellations made up to 3 days before your date of arrival will not incur any charges.
Cancellations made any later than 10am on the day 48 hours before you are due to arrive or if you simply fail to turn up on the day of your booking, will incur the full cost of your booking.
We reserve the right to cancel your booking. We may do this if the accommodation booked is not available for reasons beyond our control. In such circumstances, we would offer you alternative accommodation or refund all monies paid. We would not be liable for any further payments.
All children under the age of 14 years must be accompanied by an adult at all times and may not stay in separate rooms on their own.
You may bring dogs to the Priory at an additional charge of £10 per dog per stay. You must obtain prior agreement to bring dogs and that agreement is subject to the following conditions;
- We do not provide any pet food or bedding.
- Please do not allow your dogs to foul anywhere inside the property. You will be expected to provide and use any necessary cleaning materials. There is a dog waste bin provided in the grounds of the property
- All dogs must be kept on a lead at all times when on our property and untrained/young/nervous dogs should not be left unsupervised in bedrooms.
- Dogs are not allowed in food serving areas. A table in the bar car be set up for breakfast on request
- The full cost of any damages caused will be added to your final bill.
- If you leave the dog in the bedroom you must leave contact details at reception in case you need to be contacted
You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the property or its contents. Please report any damages immediately. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may charge you for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant. You may incur additional charge if you do not report damages.
We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party, vehicles or possessions, unless the damage can be proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves, our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment
